Our pumpkin patch visit to Bose Family Farm

Every year we make it a point to hit a different pumpkin patch and corn maze. This year we found a good place called Bose Family Farm and of all the corn mazes we have been through, they take the cake. It took us all of two hours to get through the maze and that was using a map they provided. It was a great time and we had a blast. We also scored some great pumpkins too!

 

We started seeing the signs to the corn maze about three miles from the farm. Skylar was getting pretty excited to check it out and see how well we would do this year.

Once we made it, we had to first check out the corn maze before anything else.

We were given a map and headed toward the corn maze.  From the look of the map, we knew it was going to take us a little while before we were done.  

We all wore rubber boots just in case it was muddy, but we sort of wished we had our tennis shoes instead once we walked around in the maze for over an hour.

We got lost a lot, but made the most of it with a little bit of fun from time to time.

I was so glad it wasn't dark, or I don't think we would have ever made it out.  Ha!

The cute little signs throughout the maze sort of distracted from how long you've actually been in there too.

At one point Skylar thought he would run ahead to check it out and ended up getting lost.  We weren't supposed to cut across the corn, but he was getting a little scared, so we let him.

Throughout the maze they had scarecrows that you had to find and punch a hole in your paper to make sure you hit the check point.  This is what actually took so long.  The corn maze itself isn't all that difficult, but hunting for those scarecrows was a hard task.

We finally found the last scarecrow and headed toward the exit, which took another 30 minutes.  Haha!

After the corn maze we took a ride on the tractor around the farm.

I was so impressed with how large their broccoli had gotten.  Puts my yard garden broccoli to shame.

We then headed into the pumpkin patch and picked out a few pumpkins to take home.

We have been going to the pumpkin patch since Skylar was born.  Every year I sit him in or around a pumpkin in the patch.  For ten years we've been doing this, such a great tradition for our little family.

He has grown into such a great looking, behaving, and well-rounded boy.  Makes me so proud!

Jeff grabbed his final choice and we loaded them up.

We had a great time at Bose Family Farm this year.

We scored a pretty good load of pumpkins.
